Green tea has a multitude of benefits that can be useful to the human body. For instance certain compounds in green tea have been found to improve brain function, and, literally, make you smarter.

So how this does work when it comes to burning fat, very simple. What it does is spike up levels of hormones that signal fat cells to break down fat. This process releases fat into the bloodstream, which then lets it be used as energy.

What you need to know is that by drinking the green tea it kind of tricks the body into using fat as energy instead of holding on to it. So now if you add exercise to the picture you can see how you put melt fat away. Studies that men who took green tea extract and exercised burned 17% more fat than men who didn’t. Now that means that if you want to lose weight a little faster or have a little edge green tea can come in handy.

Another benefit from green tea is that it can help you burn fat even when we aren’t doing anything. See the human body is constantly moving, and working, so its always burning calories. As a matter of fact, this process continues even while you sleep. Studies have shown that green tea can boost this calorie burning process.

Green tea reduces your appetite, which causes us to eat fewer calories. Less calories, means the less likely we are to put on those unwanted pounds. So as you can see green tea does help with fat loss in a roundabout way.

Understand that if your goal is to lose weight, and feel great, about yourself than, there are other steps that need to be taken. Green tea is to be used as a tool to help you journey. It cannot replace healthy eating, and exercise, but it will help when combined. Try to have a cup a day by itself or with a meal, you could drink it hot or cold whatever your preference.

Another option might be going on a green tea diet. Here’s an example: When you arise start the day with 8 ounces of green tea hot or cold to kind of kick start the day, and then another glass before breakfast.

The idea here is to have two glasses before breakfast that will make you feel full; causing you to eat less at the breakfast table. Your third glass should be right before lunch, again you’re getting the fat burning benefit, and you will feel a little fuller and eat less lunch.

Your last cup will be before dinner. Now I’m not recommending this type of diet. I’ve never tried it, so I have no first-hand knowledge of how well it works, or if it works at all. All I’m doing is giving you an example of a diet that I have researched.

If this is something you wish to try, make sure you consult your doctor before you do. I believe that a good way to lose weight is to eliminate the sweets from your menu, reduce your daily calorie intake, and focus on eating those foods that bring nutritional value to you.

For instance, eating eggs, brown rice, chicken, lean turkey, vegetables etc. and plenty of water is a good way to lose weight and develop proper eating habits. Adding green tea to the mix won’t hurt you at all with a diet like this.

And if you don’t like to drink tea, buy it in its pill form – yes, that have that too. So in closing green tea is the healthiest beverage you can drink; and it can help you on your journey to weight loss, so sit back and relax and enjoy a cup.

After several run-ins with doctors early in life, I made the decision pretty early on that I was going to do my best to create results with my health that did not rely on the practices most people live their lives by today.

If a person wakes up in the morning and has a cough they go to the pharmacy and pick up cough medicine. Once that doesn’t seem to be working they make an appointment with their doctor, and get some antibiotics to fight whatever they have. This is what people are used to doing today.

Usually by the end of day three I’m back to my normal self. But if I’m not healed up by this time, I bring out the big guns – homemade chicken soup and green tea. This knock out whatever I have within a day or two.

Truth be told I had no idea it was up until about four years ago; and I only found that out because my wife was making so much tea at home, I started drinking the stuff.

Up until that point, I hated drinking brewed tea; and my only secret weapon was homemade chicken soup. If I couldn’t beat out a cold with chicken soup then I would just let nature run it’s course until the cold was out of my system.

You want to maximize this before you start supplementing with things like green tea. After you are satisfied with what you are fueling your body with, you then want to make sure your movement program is utilizing several fat burning exercises – with rebounding being the primary exercise.

Sure you can work up a sweat with several circuits of high intensity training, but it still won’t match the benefits provide to your body like a 20 minute rebounding session. I’ve covered this topic in other posts, so I won’t repeat why this exercise is so effective, but just know that even if you don’t like it personally – do not let that stop you from adding it to the overall program.

Your movement program is just that – YOUR program. You can add to it whatever you want. Just make sure there’s a daily component to it, so that you are always doing something every day to make sure your body is full fat burning mode the minute you wake up, until the minute you lay your head back down to rest at the end of the evening.

Once fuel and movement have been handled, you want to begin the supplementation process. By the way, “supplements” are not relegated to just pills or capsules. Clearing out your mind, through a process like meditation, is also considered a fat burning supplement.

Many fitness trainers pay no attention to these factors, and believe they provide very little benefit to a person trying to lose weight. They only focus on the things done at the gym, and what you are putting into your body – that’s it. Fat burning, when it’s optimized, can come from various sources, and when they are working in unison – you can see some dynamic results.
